toshaugh 2
From Wicklow myself and have heard of a couple of dogs going walkabout locally, some blame the tinkers, some people have other idea's, f**k knows. The amount of sleepless nights i've had just lying there listening, afraid of someone been at the kennels, have even gone out to dogs at 3,4 in the morning just to check, f**king thieves will be the death of me. Guest busterdog
my dogs are housed 1 springer and 1 jrt id be gutted they could atleast take the miss's only joking id be well gutted if my dogs went.. Deeply sorry for your loss but don't your dogs guard your yard, i don't want to sound like a tit but my dogs go fu*king bananas when i come in never mind a stranger. I would like some information on how they took them and the guarding instincts of your dogs, just to know how they can get away with stealing a yard full of dogs in broad daylight. As stated very sorry for your loss. ATVB Busterdog. Quote Link to post
lurcher lass 9
this is scary business, there is truth about not letting people know what dogs you have, but dog needs to be exercised and later worked you can't hide them away for ever the only thing i'd say is for everyone to get so much more aware that this is and will keep happening, put lights, camras up, padlock kennles have at least one dog in the kennel that barks even if its just a pet, pop p signs on fence stating about camras watching etc, a place can't be too well guarded fact, also a rondom one is geese are fantastic are guarding i know a lady who breeds horses and swears by them .. other then this keep them in house, windows doors locked with more camras, expensive but what do you choose, spending a few bob or dog going missing without a hope of finding him another point is my dogs are all microchipped and tagged on collors but i'm also getting them tattooed as its a visual deterrent so if i meet some one who says hi to me dog can see he's tatooed on his ears and may help put these nasty buggers off the idea anyone have any more suggestions besides using the c*nts for target practice or giving the bull crosses a good run Quote Link to post
Bri 81
Really sorry for the guy who lost his dogs. Hope he gets them back. Theiving scumbags only good for target practise. I only have the one dog at present and she's keept indoors microchiped and insured, just in case though money wouldn't replace her. Bri Quote Link to post

Guest rodsmith
listen chaps, yes its sickening but until it happens to you it really does get to your guts.mine went near 3 yrs ago.was the 1st border terrier i ever got for earth work, going by the price of them, probally the last il ever have.she showed so much promise.self entered while on a walk at 8mth old by pure accident in an earth that didnt hold fox but the other earth dwelling type.was there for 1/2hr before returning to me squealing like a pig to her.had been up to her quarry by the damage to her jaw(hungry hard rabbits here ).the bitch wanted back but obviously restrained her as still a pup.
