good ol' Jack was mentioned on here a few days ago by way of comparison to country file or something.

Is he still alive?

my memory seems to to tell me that the last bit of the programme was always set in what looked like a garden shed or hide and he would show a strange item and he would reveal what it was on the next programe. Is this right or did I dream it.

Have seen a couple of videos at game fairs and the like but they weren't of the TV prog.

Proper countryside programme it was. Bring it back, even repeats would be interesting. As for the trammel nets I couldn't say. Its a case of "google being your friend" I think.

rgds

Swampy

Still ninging down memory lane

i'm a keen hill walker / orienteerer & i love camping & fishing & i'm a semi competent shooter, apologies for any inconvienance caused by this reply but i don't know where to start -thanks

defo in the wrong section mate, prehaps posting your own topic in gamekeepers section would have been a better idea

as for jack, have the full box set too, had a deal from amazon, really takes you back, I have a dvd player in my works van, and take the dvd's to watch before starting night jobs, as sometimes we have an hour or so to kill waiting for permission to go on track
