MR TEA POT 1,287
In section 14 it says Have you been convicted of any offence including motor offences,Does that mean speeding offences eg:£60.00 fine and 3 points. And would it affect your chance of getting a firearms cert if you had 9 points.I know it sounds a daft question but i er........have a friend who wants to know Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
if its on your licence Mr T then im afraid its an offence Ok thanks, would it stop me being granted a FAC. i wouldn't of thought so as some members on here claim to have all sorts of convictions and have successfully got their fac good luck :thumbs-up: Thank you mate If you only have fairly minor motoring offences it is unlikely to effect a FAC application, some of the more serious motoring offences such as Dangerous driving, anything to do with drink, etc will! What will effect your chances of getting a FAC is if you do not disclose these offences...THEY CHECK!!! Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
You little speeder MrT, my mate got banned 3 times in 7 years, superbikes eh! and he still got his licence Quote Link to post
mattydski 560
I have 6 points, I was told on last renewal that if I got any more than the 6 points I have, I would get a letter from the chief constable, calling in to question my worthynes as a ticket holder. They never elaborated any further, or said what would happen... Fortunatley, they are down to 3 now, and down to zero in september!! Matty Quote Link to post
Bluelungbutter 1
My understanding of the points on your licence were more what they were points for rather than the amount of them. I think it's just another guage of your character or whether you are a resposible person. DunK Quote Link to post
adamthomas64 1
i live in leicester and my feo told my that points for speeding do not count even disqualifications for speeding do not count, only dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs count, id still declare them though but i very seriously doubt it would cause you a problem, but every force is different, i was previously on anti depressants and had been off them for 4 months when i applied for my sgc and my feo said it wasnt a problem and they didnt even bother to write to my doctor, but someone on here wasold he had to be off them for 5 years before he could apply! good luck mate Quote Link to post
