andybrock 2
i get a bit fed up sometimes of unlocking and unwinding my ladder clamps on the roof bars plus the extra wind noise. was looking at the extendible type they are expensive so thought i would ask of your thoughts on them if you have used them before. cheers. Trapperman I've just bought a telestep ladder from Killgerm they have an offer on at the moment telesteps are £150 normally around £200 and you get a free bag which they normally sell for about £30, (probably get them cheaper if you shop around)they reach about 3.3 metres which probably is't high enough to reach over house gutters etc but I wanted them for loft access etc. Andy it was the killgerm offer that got me thinking about them, are they good and sturdy. Yes Trapper they are good and sturdy, too many pints and pies have probably got me close to the recomended weight limit of these ladders but i've been up and down them several times now and they are fine. I also got the adjustable safety feet also these have very good anti slip properties and worth the extra £55 Andy Quote Link to post
Matt 160
I've had a set of Telesteps for around 15 years, and I wouldn't be without them. Mine are kept in the bag that you can buy for them in the back of the van, and are great for getting into lofts, and the occasional time when I need them for outside. As a rule, I do no ladder work at all. I've yet to come accross a wasp nest that I can't reach from the ground with poles, and I sub out all my bird work. If you need ladders for general pest control work, I strongly recommend Telesteps; the only disadvantage is that you always have to have something to lean them against. For flykiller servicing, I've got a set of four tread step-ladders - if a flykiller is higher than that, it should be lowered because it can't be working properly. If I had got a quid everytime a customer had said "gosh they're good", or similar, I could have bought another set of Telesteps by now.......... Quote Link to post

As mentioned a couple of times in this post I also try to avoid ladder work of any discription, mine slipped a few years ago I hit the deck broke my elbow in two places luckily my DR5 took most of the force and I think this saved me from more serious injury! my point being I do feel "safe" using telesteps.
