fasthands 2
Here we go folk's, I shot ten from this little lot the rest was my friend cheating with the .17 rim fire. I think the foxes will be happy with all the guts we left for them for a nice hearty meal. I am so happy with this AA S410 my confidence is booming with it, I just keep getting those real clean head shots, even at some testing ranges. When we arrived at our first field there were no rabbits to be seen, we were quite high up near a old tin mine ruin. But the clouds were really low and moving like hell. So we opted to go down into the valley about a mile away. We drove to the top field left the 4x4 out of the way, got kitted up and approached the area we hoped to see some rabbits. The wind was blowing really gusty into our faces, but there they were as we came over the brow of the hill about 20-30 rabbits. So we split up and I went to my fav little spot a old breeze block building in the bottom corner of the field out of the wind. It has a little hole in the block work where I can sit and poke my gun through. There is a large patch of gorse to the left which is living with bunnies. Only 5 mins in and out pops bunny number 1, I let it have a good fed and waited for a few more to come out. A patience trick I have learned to do. Another 5 mins passed and out come another three, this time they come really far out about 30 yards with no hesitation. So I shot the furthest out and the others never moved so another had the .177 treatment This time they all scattered so I went and retrieved my two kills and settled back in. I waited about half hour for the next few to appear and bagged another three. the rest were spread out over the next 2 hours or so. But it was a great shoot from what I thought was going to be a complete waste of time. we did get piss wet through and it was real windy, I am lucky enough to have plenty of permission so I can have a chance if the weather changes. I am really looking forward to some Crow shooting this week, the farmer who gave me permission has pointed me in the direction of his cow sheds :icon_eek: Hundreds of the bloody things! I just need to get myself some camo netting and there will be some fun to be had. Quote Link to post
