Told work to shove there job. I've bin told i cant sign on for 12 weeks becuase i quit. So if i blag em saying they sacked me, do they check .. i've not handed notice or anythin in so theres no paperwork saying i quit on my behalf .. Any advise from you fellow dole scroungers .. pm if you prefer. I want to claim some of my hard earned back that the robbing tax man has stole off me

i feel like going on the dole sometimes, but i dont!! mainly because im not old enough i can see where your coming from mate, it seems like every other fecker is getting things for free while you work your bollocks off. but you wouldve been able to say " i earnt what i have" for me thats quite alot....

 

My sister has just said the exact thing to me .. but then on the other hand if you no better of from working or even worse off as it sometimes is! does that good feeling from "earning" actaully make you feel any better. I use to wonder why so many people where on the dole, its coz its so friggin easy and if you value time over money. Why complicate things.

 

BTW to everyone whose complained. Ive been in this job since christmas, its an apprentiship in "Marketing" So far ive done Graphic design, Event management, Administration, telesales, IT technician and theres probly more ive missed out, how am i suppose to get anywhere if i do an entirly differnt job role every month how am i ment to get anywhere once this is up. That like a trying expecting a bricklaying apprentice to master roofing, plumbing, eletronics and what ever else in such a short time. It aint going to happen.

 

At the end of it they are going to learn NOTHING about EVERYTHING

 

I work in a small office with two sly and two faced woman one whose an anti. One thing that she said a while i go is hunting is wrong but fishing for sport is ok, but fishing for food is cruel :S You put up with that utter jiberish all day, i dare ya. That is hard enough in its own right

 

In my opinion they took me on to tick there soical aims boxs which needs to be done for them to recieve funding. SO there wasnt actually a job there for me, they just made it up as they went along. Also they didnt pay my wages, the concil did. Another 4 months and they wouldhave to put there hands in their pocket.

 

I think they knew what they was doing so was quite happy to make me feel uncomfortable. Perhaphs i played right into there hands.

 

Not sure if i said before what made me walk out but here it is. Becuase im an apprentice i get a mentor. She comes out whenever she feels like. I goes in on my own to see her today and she asks the usual how are things, yes fine ta etc as last time i complained it got me nowhere(+ i was planning on leaving in september anyway so had something to look forward to). The boss goes in has a chat then they call me back in, well my mentor goes

 

Donna says you left a box on the floor and needed reminding to top the printer up once( in two months of topping up i didnt notice it had run low on one occassion)

 

then went on to say i pull faces when she gives me work At one stage she compained to my mentor i didnt ask for work when i finished what i was doing. So i started asking for work then she compaied to my mentor i kept asking for work and i had to be patient, now this

 

There was two pages to the list but if they was going to all be as daft as them three i wernt going to listen to the rest so that when i said stick ya job

 

Oh an another good one, i don't answer the telephone right, i say hello blah blah sometimes instead of good morning blah blah. Yet them two say hello or hiya when they answer aswell :S

 

Haha i think ive done well to stay there this long to be honest and i just dont see why she never took it up with me first SHES suppose to be the boss.

I haven't read all teh other replies so apologise if someone else has said this.....but go to teh job centre and state that you feel you was constructively dismissed.......thats where you have been forced out of your job by un-reasonable behaviour and felt no other option but to resign!

 

a long time ago i was aged 19, i worked somewhere, the same place as my girlfriend also aged 19 (she is now my wife and the mother to my two kids! and we are in our 30's) we didn't get sick pay....not that big a deal.

Anyway my girlfriend needed her tonsils out, her mam and dad were off on holiday and her two sisters were living away or were on holiday at the time.........so after her operation there was no one else around........after her operation she hemoraged and lost lots of blood and ended up back in hospital for another operation to cauterize the wounds in her throat, i was the only person about to help her

 

anyway she was off sick and i took time off to look after her, i asked for holiday they said no! so i just rang in sick!

 

anyway when i went back to work when she was better and after her mam and dad returned from holiday.....one of the managers called me to one side, i was expecting it! anyway she questioned why i had gone sick after having my holiday refused and basically accused us both of going away as my girlfriend had pre-arranged the time off after her operation.......i had explained why i needed the time off when i rang up and all teh circumstances.......i pointed out there was no one else around to help her after her op, i explained where her sisters were and how her parents were on holiday, i further explained about the haemoraging and her losing blood and needing a second operation to stop the bleeding! (she was puking up blood!) the manager understood that it wasn't obviously someone just abusing the sick system and said I hope she is feeling better and i understand!

 

she went off to speak with the head woman....who called me in and said i understand but you should have still come to work!....i told her what i thought and left there and then!........so did my girlfriend as she didn't want to go back after me shouting my mouth off!

 

anyway went to sign on.......got dole for a week or so....then they stopped my dole and called me in for a meeting!

 

the job centre said no dole as i left....i explained teh circumstances, tehy mentioned constructive dismissal .........and re-instated my dole ....within a week i also had a letter of apology from my old employer and the offer of my job back!....i didn't take the old job back up and shortly after found a new and better job! but i recieved teh Dole no problems despite walking out as they decided the managers had been un-reasonable

But while i've got a bit of money to hold me over, why on earth would i carry on being treated like a knobhead by a pair of dickheads.

 

As for catcher, listen you don't know me, my dog is looked after better than half the kids round here so get of your high horse acting all high and mighty. Who made you god?

 

Desert you mention pride, where is the pride in doing the joey work and been treated like a nob head for what? a bit of money? No ta pirde don't come in coins. Not for me anyway

well i hope you enjoy the army,or whatever else you decide to do in life young fella. Nothing wrong in walking out of a job if you dont like what your doing,in fact it does take a bit bollox to do it. As far as pride goes? well you will learn that pride in yourself and whatever job you do is a big part of feeling happy in life. Go with your gut instinct and you wil never go far wrong.

if your after some work , i might be able to help , you would have to start on a trial basis , ..... the job would envolve , maintenance work , cleaning and sorting , and you would have to work on own initiative, the job would start out with a 2 week trial , of cleaning my ferrets out , / changing the bedding , providing clean water , and removing all the shit from out of the far corner , ....... if after 2 weeks , youve passed the test , you,d then be expected to clean up the dog shit daily , and clean out the kennels every 3 days using a hosepipe{ provided} and disinfectant for the floor , after training this role will become permanent , and as we believe in giving people a fair chance and fairplay , you would still be able to sign on the rock an roll , ....meaning you,d have plenty of money left to buy cans of cider with your mates down the park hope to hear from you soon all the staff at mr poach,s kennels
