RossM 8,121 Posted July 14, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 14, 2009 started life looking like a merle (on top) i would suggest she is still a merle even if the markings have faded and if you decide to breed from her would be decidedly wary about using a merle stud over her , nice type all the same yep mate, the merle is still there in the fawn markings, and if in years to come she proves herself and i would like a pup i wouldnt take a chance putting a merle gened dog over her as i have read up on such heridatary before hand, there was merle on the sires side also and my first choice out the litter was the big merle/white dog, when i went down to pick him up i had my suspicions he was deaf so looked it up about merle to merle breedings, and the white markings/pigmentation, its really quite an interesting read in the end i took this bitch instead after thouroughly checking her sight and hearing. turned out to be the correct decision as the dog pup turned out to be deaf AND blind.
