johnrussell84 2,832
Was out a walk today with some cooler weather just letting the terriers work the cover on rabbits, after about twenty mins there was nothing moving in the cover or any barking in the distance to let me know they were still on the move. After bout ten mins of getting stung and cut i found a good few holes well kicked out and could here my older dog baying, anyhow few mins later i got my pup and got a locate on jake dug to him at 3 foot and found him pushed tight to a vixen he took some stick as it was right tight and couldnt get right up to her, i pulled him out and let it run for another day when the seasons in and jus left my pup following the scent in the cover. Ive got a couple of pics on the camera which al put up when i find the silly wire to connect it all in all good walk out and a lovely looking vixen aswell Quote Link to post

Hepher 86
SO YA WERE OUT HAVING A MOOCH ON GROUND THAT IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO MAKE CONTACT WITH GAME YET YOU HAD YA TERRIERS RUNNING LOOSE WIITHOUT A COLLAR ON BUT YA HAD YA SPADE? IF I WAS OUT WALKING MY DOGS I WOULDN'T HAVE THEM RUNNING LOOSE WHERE THERE COULD BE A POSSIBILITY OF THEM GOIN TO GROUND, ESPECIALLY WITHOUT A COLLAR ON. AND I DON'T HAVE TO CARRY A SPDE WHEN I WALK MY DOGS AS THEY STAY ON THEIR COUPLES ON GROUND WHERE I COULD ENCOUNTER GAME. EVEN IF IT'S NEW PERMISSION A DOG ON A CHAIN WILL STILL SCENT AND MARK! BUT I SUPPOSE EACH TO THEIR OWN. EDITED TO ADD, AFTER RUNNING YOUR TERRIERS ON RABBITS THROUGHT THE SUMMER HOW DO YOU BREAK THAT HABBIT COME THE FOX HUNTING SEASON?
