Where is this show taking place...?

:signthankspin:

Stuart the show is taking place in west meath Ballinlough Castle should be a good one with top prizes and a class & racing for pure deerhound

if anyone has any deerhounds bring them along for some support, it will be good to see a show of deerhounds there.

Racing starts 11.30 sharp and the showing will follow ..... THE GILFORD LURCHER AND TERRIER CLUB is looking forward to running its 1st

show south of border. We have enjoyed our 9th consecutive show this year at the Moira Show and we are looking for some continued success.

ALL WELCOME....

Yes, I judged the terriers today, and yes, I don't dig with terriers, but I do use terriers as cover beating dogs. The smooth red dog that won the class won the fell/ lakeland type class. The border class had only 4 or 5 in it, but I had to judge what was in front of me, I don't give a shit what a particular dog has won in the past, I judge dogs on the day, and if, in your opinion, I didn't do a good job, that's your opinion, to which you are entitled to, but it was an HONEST days judging. A working dog won the overall champion, and I'm happy with what I put up. Just one more thing, I don't hide behind a screen name, so I would appreciate if you two would at least have the balls to sign your posts, but I doubt you'll do that!

I was at the show today, great day, had no dogs but watched the terriers and thought the judge did a good job, classes weren't great but this is the first fair here. I don't know what you boys on here want, you complain when show dogs as opposed to working dogs get put up, i could see that working dogs were put up today. remember there's only 3 prizes in a class, what do yous want?? you keep running down judges and we'll have no shows cause nobody'll want to put themselves up for a roasting on here.

I don't know what point you're trying to make, is it that you class the winning dog as a fell? Well this is a pic of the class he won, the Patterdale class, so all these folk must be in the wrong class?? You started all this off by saying I didn't have a clue what I was doing, then you go on about wanting to support the show, but although you don't say it, you give the impression that if you had known who was judging you wouldn't have supported the show? That Patterdale class was one of the best classes of any breed of dog I've ever judged, every dog in there was in tip top condition, some showing very obvious signs of being gainfully employed, others just youngsters, but still in brilliant condition given the time of year.
