Guest chilli
think about what you are going to do with the litter an who will want them ?? plebnty of unwanted dogs about as it is Quote Link to post
Guest mucker
how far gone would she be? if they tied recently i think the vet can give her a jab im not sure. you could always cull them cant see many folk taking a chance on them and she could have a big litter. could be stuck with them for months. If it happened less than 3 days ago then you can take her to a vets, they give an injection at days 3 and 5, possibly more if you arent sure how many times they tied. Costs about £32 for 2 injections, better than a load of unwanted pups, if its not too late for that. Quote Link to post
parkstone 24
the jab can be given up to about 5 weeks but the earlyer the better, had our old bitch done last year after an accident (we did her after 5 days) but a warning it if very dangerous stuff and if you have a partner who may be expecting then she must stay away from the bitch after it's been jabbed as it can cause miscarraige in humans as well. Guest ADAM AND HIS DOGS
JUST LET HER HAVE THEM THEN WHEN SHE HAS WHELPED TAAKE ALL BUT ONE TO THE VET AND HAVE THEM PTS. THEN LET HER REAR THE ONE PUP AND FIND IT A PET HOME. BEST FOR THE BITCH. HAD TO DO THIS RECENTLY THOUGH WAS A LURCHER TO LURCHER LURCHER. BEST IN THE LONG RUN. Quote Link to post

WHY ARE U LAUGHING MATE. NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT HAVING TO PUT DOWN PUPS AND HAVE MY BITCH OUT FOR THE BEST PART OF THE HUNTING SEASON.. Quote Link to post
Guest oldskool
let her be mate, she mite not have been caught by the terrier. i think its too late to do anything about it now anyway. i got the jab done on the same day my bitch had tied and she had a total of 8 pups regardless! i would just play it cool and cross that bridge [bANNED TEXT] u get there. i think thats all u can do,, injections of that sort go against nature and that is not usually a good thing! ah well, these things happen and its not the end of the world. one thing is for sure is that it will make u extra careful next time round, take note of the day she began her cycle and remember it for again. Kay 3,709
Adams advice is probably the fairest thing to do as Chilli says theres more than enough unwanted dogs allready. If its too late for the jab, have the pups humanely PTS and let her rear one or possibly two and find them good homes. She will dry off quicker and get back to work sooner than if she had a larger litter I agree, if the pups are moved on once they are weaned who knows how many homes they will have by the time they are adults, & bad owners teach dogs bad things, i do hope its a false alarm though Quote Link to post

How the hell did a wee terrier mount such a big bitch? Step ladders? Was she lying down? the mind boggles! Maybe the terrier was exceptinally well hung. Lmao Quote Link to post
brock 11
if the bitch s still bleeding she might not even be ready Quote Link to post
