JoeD 24
I would never pay to go on a ferreting day as there are so many decent people out there that wouldn't mind showing you how it is done for free. I stumbled across this on the internet http://www.pakefieldferrets.co.uk/Ferreting%20Days.htm He is asking £60 for a 9am - 3pm day depending on light and weather. If I was ever charging people to ferret which I wouldn't I would charge £10-£15 tops. I just find this ridiculous and I would count it as theft. Rant over, JoeD Quote Link to post

dj.chapman 0
seems wrong when it costs him nothing, for that price i would want to keep the ferrets and the rabbits caught. what a con Quote Link to post
The one 8,493
Dont think i'd pay either had boys out and as there giving you a hand it's a freebie and i half the bag Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
Great business sense I'd say, Most people on here wouldn't pay because by simply being on this site they can probably get someone to take them for free, But if someone is willing to pay 60 notes for a day out good luck to them. And every time i go out from now on i'll think i have saved myself £60 Quote Link to post
mattydski 560
No....I would never pay to ferret. Happy to take peole out free of charge in my area. Prefer to share and get returned outings back. Adds much to the variety in life. Quote Link to post
jenksi87 3
if someone could guarantee me a very good days sport and a bootfull of rabbits to take home i wouldnt mind laying out a few quid. £60 is taking the piss though. £20 maximum and thats with at least 20 to take home Quote Link to post

maphunter 0
personally i wouldn,t pay for a days ferreting, but i suppose thats easy to say when youve got your own permission, just think back when we had none we may have had thought differently, obviously the guy thinks hes seen a gap in the market... ferret1 6
£60 for a days ferreting . I dont know why people pay that sort of money for a day out. I bet he charges the land owner to clear the rabbits and then charge the person to go out with him the blokes a joke. I have taken alot of new comers to ferreting out to show them the ropes and i have never charged them anything i just enjoy teaching people and getting the youngsters into country sports as they are the future of what we all do. jazz_11 5
if it was a countrymans weekend where you pay like 300 quid odd for all the weekend and one of the days are ferreting i would happily pay the money depending on the other days if they were pigeon shooting and deer stalking as down by me we dont get very big bags so if you go on a countrymans weekend in somewhere like the new forest then the rabbit numbers are huge... depends which way you do it.. i would not pay 60 quid for a single days ferretin personally.. thats just my opinion... poacher3161 1,766
I suppose it will appeal to the proffesional type of people like your doctors and bankmanagers it will give them something to talk over at the next dinner party.[bANNED TEXT] i used to do a bit of ferreting for the yorkshire falconry club i kept most of the rabbits caught then a few of their members wer known for being shovel shy.So good luck to the geezer cos i cant see many ordinary working lads paying it.atb Quote Link to post
