Rocks 77
What do you guys look for in a good whippet to cross. Size, bone structure, pedigree. Do any whippets do or do you stay away from show dogs? I like what I see about lurchers and was thinking of crossing my cur/bull to a whippet. do you guys have any catahoula curs there? If you would like to see pics go to baydog.com there are links in classifieds Quote Link to post

Very intelligent, game and fast. Worked him from rats to Fox and always did well. No idea if this line is still available today as the original owner of these dogs died. I had this dog back in the mid 1980`s. Quote Link to post

Guest CharlieC
I prefer the racing whippet stuff to the KC - they are more like miniature greyhounds. Quote Link to post
Guest Jack Sparrow
Below are a few pics of my 3/4 x 1/4 whippet bedy cross. she has been as keen as musted from the first time i took her out ferreting, she took to marking like a duck to water. Whippets are such game little dogs, perfect for the ferreting game and hedgerow work. the Dam the Sire Storm at 5 months old YIS JS Quote Link to post
