foxon 0
put collection only but is it legal to post them????? yes. It is legal to post sub 12ftlb rifles & sub 6ftlb pistols through the post so long as the sale is not by trade ie a private transaction, as for the carrier Parcel Force will not carry any Firearms where as the Royal Mail are duty bound to carry air rifles & air pistols so long as they are not Sec 1 ie not over the limit. Hope this helps. Atb Foxon. Quote Link to post

Just thought I should add, to get an air rifle through the Post Office side of parcels you will need to take the stock off & place along side the barrel & action to keep the length down otherwise the nice people on the counter will offer you the £10.99 Parcel Force way, if you are the type of person & tell them whats inside for insurance purposes you will get some panicked looks, I just tell them it is ornamental metalwork & never state gun, weapon or firearms on the parcel, as the Post Office will shut the sort office in a flash & next minute you will have plod on your door trying to test the item at their nearest centre to find out if it's legal. Less said the better. Atb. Foxon. Quote Link to post
