Just thought ild ask beacuse im intrested to know,,I used to smoke alot of weed a few years ago but that progressed into snorting cociane,, and getting more and more addicted to it and wasting silly money on it,, only a week or so ago ive decided to try and cut the habbit. I dont know what happened to myself but i was messing around with my life,,Has anyone been in a similar situation in thier lives and messed around with drugs? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
mushroom 12,874 Posted July 11, 2009 Report Share Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) don't think many men can be this honest or open mate!!! wouldn't expect many replies. i had a phet problem when i was 16 got so bad i ended up in hospital hadn't slept for 3-4 weeks and had chemical poisioning had to have a machine attatched to me to help my failing kidneys clean my blood when i came too in the hosi' i realised what i had done to myself and vowed never again. i do still smoke green occasionaly and find that the problem of addiction is down to individual circumstances some people have addictions others seem to like whatever it is they are taking and the rest can take it or leave it. fortunately i now fall in the latter but it wasn't always so!!! good look with yourself and your mission it's an uphill struggle from here on just try not to do it alone, sounds cheesy but there is always someone who will listen. A few of the lads i grew up with back home have died because of drugs. The village im from has a wee problem because there is nothing there for youngsters so they start experimenting at a very young age. I decided to enjoy whats was all around me and get out into the fields. They thought i was weird (still do lol). I have had my wee spells though eccies and speed on nights out magic mushrooms when i was in school but now im a dad and thats all that matters to me. good luck pal and never ever give up. Was a wicked dinner I've seen friends become smack heads, know some thats died. Never could understand why people took a lot of stuff- they'd come back from clubbing saying they'd had a fantastic time but were so off there heads they couldnt even tell you where theyd been. I never done anything stronger that nurofen since I gave up fags & dope- many years ago Fair play to those who have managed to get any habit under control. Admitting theres a problem really is the first & hardest thing to do. I think that a lot of people though just treat everyone with a habit the smae- must all be out robbing all day& dont work. jigsaw 11,863 Posted July 11, 2009 Report Share Posted July 11, 2009 ive never smoked anything but a cigarett and gave them up 5 years ago,last week one of my mates died from a heroine o/d.i never knew he took the stuff.i worked with him for 16 months and i can only presume he wasnt doing any crap at that point.sad to see him go like that and he was a sound bloke too.stupid shite to get wrapped up in but people have different weaknesses and thresholds.its a no win situation when your taking any thing thats mindaltering i think. kristian 9 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Share Posted July 12, 2009 I have a mate who used to spend between £ - £120 a weekend on coke and it wasn't until all the shit stuff started coming in that he cut down and has now stopped all together. He realised when it was crap gear that he was just throwing money away. I've seen a few old friends turn into heroin addicts and i think what a waste. The thing that gets me with heroin though is you see what it does to people and famiies yet some people still want to try it? anyway mate good luck with getting away from the shit and instead of buying the charlie spend the money on something nice then you'll realise what your wasting! take care, Titch.
