please can someone help me my ferret kit aint drinking from the water bottle is there any way to get it to drink

Just hold the drinker under its nose, if its thirsty it will drink and get used to the drinker as a place to go when its thirsty :)

Pop a saucer in or one of the plant pot bottoms with some washed stones it to keep it weighted down.

Keep the water bottle on and as soon as you see it drinking remove the saucer.

Better still put in another ferret the kit will soon learn to use the drinker

i use a poultry feeder with water in for the kits, they will copy the parent as they get older but for those taking a bit more time there can still reach water easily, trust me a dehydrated kit is not what you want, i ended up hand rearing one when many would have killed it but he's grand now and catching up quickly with the others

hope this helps all the best lurcher lass x x

Mine have a large ceramic dog water bowl as I found they got frustrated with a bottle and made a hell of a noise when they would bite at it. But I only have 2 Jills so it easy to do that.

same here ;)

Get a small shallow dog water bowl: ceramic: put a stone in it which is big enough to stick out of the water so if the kit gets into the bowl it can use the stone to climb out: water should only be about an inch deep for a kit and you'll need to scrub bowl and stone out under running water EVERY day.
