wexford Pa 84
Yes u can start them on rabbit at 4 months with an experienced older ferret.. Just give them a run through it behind him/her n put em back in the box after a just few mins.. Pa Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
9 months minimum for me, young kits need to gain a bit of muscle and fitness to be able to run rabbit warrens, it can be a long old day for them if they are not, and it will dishearten them. Quote Link to post

Maybe its best to wait a while, and let them go to work when they look to be physically capable of handling their quarry... All the best,.and good hunting,....CHALKWARREN.... Quote Link to post
supersam 64
i started my hob last season at 16weeks old and he went straight down and done the job... it all depends on the ferret i think as some takes longer to hunt than others... i wait till around 6 months for my jills... regards SS Quote Link to post

lamp+battery 98
i start mine off about 8 month old, i put the older ferret through the set first then put the kit in and see if they are peepers, and if they look as if they are goin in and out no problem then try them in a set with the older ferret and see how they get on lamp Quote Link to post
