you can them at about 4 months

I doubt very much they will work well at that age,

i was told by a profesional pest control officer which also does demonstrations at game fairs that he starts working his at 4 months

 The officer....:laugh: must have exceptionally well advanced kits to be pitting them against rabbits at so tender an age....

Maybe its best to wait a while, and let them go to work when they look to be physically capable of handling their quarry... ;)

All the best,.and good hunting,....CHALKWARREN.... :drink:

i started my hob last season at 16weeks old and he went straight down and done the job...

it all depends on the ferret i think as some takes longer to hunt than others...

i wait till around 6 months for my jills...

Yes u can start them on rabbit at 4 months with an experienced older ferret.. Just give them a run through it behind him/her n put em back in the box after a just few mins..

i start mine off about 8 month old,

i put the older ferret through the set first then put the kit in and see if they are peepers, and if they look as if they are goin in and out no problem then try them in a set with the older ferret and see how they get on
