Staggerz 7
police and common sense.... :stinker: saying that tho someone getting very frustrated with kids running riot + shotguns on the wall....bit tempting innit?
Dan Newcombe 58
Yes, by the looks of it they have totally over reacted to a frustrated comment (and he has rightly pointed out that he could nail the fuckers with a bow!). BUT These days they are under such scrutiny that there is very little room for common sense. If that bloke had shot someone it would have eventually come out that he had make that idle threat and then the press would have had a field day. They are damned if they do and they are damned if they dont. Its is ridiculous how persecuted people get for having a license, nothing would have happened if he had an unlicnsed gun. fin and fur 2
The link states that the shotguns were removed because of a comment made by their holder that couldn't be ignored. If he said that he was going to take a few pot shots at the vandals then this would be an example of a comment that could not be ignored. It would be interesting to find out what comment resulted in the confescation of the shotguns, but it must have been serious enough and doubtless along the above lines, we all say stuff in the heat of the moment and that may very well have been the case here.
