if your useign the veiw finder theres narmaly a little wheel next to the eye hole bit..to adjust it.

theres a thing on the end of the lense but i am still pointing & shooting basically so what comes out ok is alright

i cant get out of the habit of thinking i have to be an inch from the subject to get focus

Kay you don't need to get the photo spot on in the box. A lot of them one can improve a bit later on the computer. I had a pplay with the squirrel one you took .

What do you think?

Loads better than mine scoobs , what did you do to it, i will see if i can do it on my pc if its easy

I upped the colour temperature a bit, same with the saturation, then I took down the exposure and upped the contrast and hey presto.

Simpels

p.S. If you are using Vista, you can do all of that with just the correction tool of the built in picture viewer.

yjr second lot seemed to be a lot better, the focus on the thistle is exselent..was it on mnual by chance?

It was on p setting whatever that is i keep taking the same pic but move the dial across on every setting & then pick the one that looks better than the others , not got a clue about it really

I am just off to take some photos of the swans & ducks up the pool so i will post good & bad ones so people can point me in the right direction on the bad ones & perhaps what settings to use to correct the mistakes :D
