I run a whippet 21inch and 32lbs and a lurcher at 24inch, believe me that whippet can hold its own against my lurcher. What no ones mentioned is the recovery rate of whippets mines fired up again after a couple of minutes, even after a long course. Most people under estimate these dogs, my father used to say whippets were the ghurkas of the canine world, small, loyal, brave as hell and bloody good at their job, a pretty good description i would say.
