SEAN3513 7
shot placement is key......... certainly comes before calibre and pellet choice. if your after cosistency quality DOMED head pellets around 15-16 grains will do the job. atb sean Quote Link to post
8shot 192
any pellet will kill a rabbit but what you have to remember is that you have to find a pellet that suits ur barrel as we could have the same gun but very differant reults try going on to the pellpax website for i think a £10 they will send you 10 pellets of differant brands then you can find out gives you the best results atb Quote Link to post
Pastie 0
Another thumbs up for the RWS Superdomes Cheers Mat Quote Link to post
ianltz 5
H&N FT Trophy through my theoben mfr, great grouping one on top of another Quote Link to post
fraggle 4
Don't think rabbits have a preference to what pellet hits them in the nappa.Try a few different brands to see which gives you the best groupings at your chosen zero.Quality domed pellets will usually give the best results...brands which have been mentioned AA Field(which i use),RWS Superdomes are consitent performers 9 out of 10 rabbits said they prefered to be hit with eley wasps, the other rabbit died. hughes_jh 0
Interesting to see a hugh following for the domed pellets. I've tried dozens in the past including pointed ones, flat headed ones and the hollow pointed ones (i think they were Bisley Pest Control) but I think you're always sacrificing something. Domed pellets are the best all round for accuracy AND stopping power. AA Field Diablo are my choice with the BSA Ultra My old Airsporter won't work with anything else other than 5.6mm Eley Wasps, but I'm not complaining as they're pretty good too. Quote Link to post
RAMCAM 4
Hello. What would be the best pellets around for killing rabbits? Thanks. Hi Mate The most accurate domed pellets out your rifle. I like AA's 8.4 grn and I've also used Barracuda Match 10.3 grn, if you have a .22 12ftp just stick to the most accurate pellet no point in using heavies. Quote Link to post
