inan 841
i put the photo up to sicken all you lads who hate people lamping hares and i got the glory i wanted lol Well done then mate, you certainly got the reaction you wanted... sad when someone needs negative attention to feel good about themselvs a hare is vermin to farmers dont forget and i just do as im asked i have a saluki bitch that never been on the lamp and she never will...... i do as much through the day as i do lamp but people who call themselves coarsing men say that lamping hares is wrong well im just putting it simples its not wrong as its pest control I called myself A COURSING MAN ,OR DID PRE-BAN,but Ive NEVER said lamping hares is wrong ,just that it ISNT COURSING, which is what this thead is entitled. I'll say it's wrong... we have all done it, any c**t says they haven't well, they haven't had dogs long enough.... doesn't make it right... Once you've seen what a hare is capable of doing in daylight, watching it run ears straight up till the dogs close, then flat back, up a gear, screaming bring it onnnnnnnnnnnnnnn....... you realise, taking them on the lamp just ain't fair..... Ive had lurchers for 40 years and caught 2 hares on the lamp ,both by mistake. Each to their own. Still caught them though haven't you? Proved my point. Must admit, when I first got into lurchers it was through guys who lamped hares but I was young and didn't know any better but once I did know the difference I've never intentially set out to do it... Still caught the very odd one the dogs chased up with the lamp off... these things happen. Actually, it was two different dogs on two separate occasions, over a ten year period, that caught them ,not me, but I take your point".When I became a man I put away childish things" .Ring a bell? Weather these fine hares were taken under the lamp or not, it still takes some doin. A credit to the man and dog whom acheived this haul! What a load of Bollocks you guys out there that try and make out that these lamped hares are a push over. I will Gladly run my lurcher against any man who dares knock these creatures. i can asure you they still take some running at night! Bring your coursing dog down and we will have a do at nigh, if you can bare watch them to be taken under the lamp that is!! .... Any man. give me a pm. Guest Bennybhoy
Daytime coursing is a totally different ball game to lamping ,i'm old enough to have done plenty of both, the hare is the supreme test in the day for a running dog ,on the lamp they are easier but not all are EASY,only a fool or someone lacking knowledge would say that in my humble opinion .To my knowledge catching 17 in the day has never been done with one dog,so that tells it's own story? No question though 17 is an outstanding catch on the lamp, has it been equalled..hell yeah it's even been beaten .All the best PP.ive never said it aint been beating ive never said no other dog could do it i would love to see other dogs do it WHY Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
no disrespect to coursing lads or lampers alike,BUT although i repect both games, the question was HOW MANY ...which implies it's about killing em,which is'nt what it's about. day or night 17 or 1 get out there do what you want , on your own land and enjoy and feck everyone else Quote Link to post
