Annmarie09 5 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 Thought I'd introduce myself, I found this forum when I was looking for info on lurchers, got a 10 month old Grey/Bull/Saluki/Collie bitch called Fly. I've not done anything with her because I wouldn't have a clue where to start, she's fit as a flea and ready to learn! We are from Fife in Scotland and I hope to get some ferrets some day too. To be frank she's got a head full of nonsense at the moment, more interested in chasing my foster lurcher than anything else although she's starting to show an interest in the local grey squirrels! She put up a fox at the stables when she was quite a small pup, but he went off over a deep ditch and she just looked at him in surprise! I was thinking of going lure coursing to see if she shows any interest in that, there's a local one for deerhounds but you can take any lurcher along. My last dog was a whippet and she caught bunnies herself without any input from me at all. I warned you I was clueless! I'm hoping to get along to the Fife Hunt terrier/lurcher show on the 19th, can anyone just go along to these things? Thought I might get some advice there if there are any friendly folk about.
