We've had a large pipistrelle bat colony in the roof space of our single storey cottage for donkeys year and we have never lost a nights sleep over their comings and goings. The mice however are a different matter! Quote Link to post

Still chin up kid, your old mum will only be locked up for several hours whilsy they look for the tennis racket and dead bat, she should be home in time to read you your bed time story Lessons to be learned here Miller, lessons to be learned Quote Link to post
StephOC 6
I'm tempted to think it may be mice in your attic as Eskdalehawks said. Bat roosts may be removed outside the breeding season (which I think will be almost over.) But you have to get a properly licensed person to do it for you. As for killing a bat, or a colony; they are very, very well protected ~ it is an offence to be in possession of a dead one. I would defiantly remove that post about killing that individual. lurchers 2,881
if you ring english nature they will give you a number of a licenced person near you to remove them.thats who we use if its bats instead of mice Quote Link to post
bignoel 14
chinese will remove them for ya could exchange them for some turtle soup yum yum Edited July 11, 2009 by bignoel Quote Link to post
longnetter 32
I've got to admit I do like this site, you meet all sorts!!!!! Don't for fcks sake touch those bats, thier roost or anything to do with them! English Nature will only prosecute if they are sure of success which means if you get to court you're knackered. Like badgers, bats have TOTAL protection which can mean prison. So take a tip from me and leave the little fckers alone!!!! Quote Link to post
