Matt 160
sometimes i wonder if it was a fox no one would give a toss, he stated he didn't know at the time who's dog it was. to be honest if i walked out the house and saw a cat killing my fezzers or a dog killing me chickens i'd barrel 'em without a thought if my gun was to hand. but if not, my first instinct would be to grabb the f#cker and stop the killing. the terrier was obviously in the zone if it's had six you can bet your nuts it'll have the rest if left to it. if your dog killed his poults he'd do the same. What a nice person you are.
fishfish 17
firstly you did the right thing shooting his dog.also you should inform the police of what you have done and make a complaint against him for the dog killing stock AND he should be reported for a section 4 public order act offence in threatening the kids, and finally ime sure there are a couple of shot gun cirtificate infractions in scaring the public with a fire arm,BE SURE TO CONTACT THE FIREARMS LISENCING OFFICER DIRECT stressing the huge distress it caused to your children who afterall were only exersizing the dog and had not at that time commited any offence. this keeper needs a formal warning which in turn maywell lead to his SG cirt being revoked......and who needs a keeper with no gun!!!!!!!! Strong Stuff 2,171
Is there any chance that this could be that lad who made up the story about being battered by the Gamekeepers on Lord Lambtons estate a while back .............?

Not at all. BUT: To suggest you would kill a dog 'without a thought' doesn't sound very nice to me. Afterall, why should the dog (which may well be a child's pet) die just because the owners have not trained it properly? To kill a dog should take some careful thought before pulling the trigger. I've done it myself, and would urge anyone considering it to think very carefully first. If anyone threatens to shoot a dog, no matter what the circumstances, involve the authorities. Do not take direct action, the law is there to protect the innocent.

tod 3
Dont really see the point in coming on here and blabbing about shooting another blokes dog........bit sad really! So what if it killed 6 chooks, they are cheap enough to replace........you could have made a positive out of it by just taking the animal back and telling him what happened........hey presto, he is in your debt and you could have done well out of it one way or another. Now, I would say you are fecked local.........and all for 6 poxy chooks and the chance to be billy big bollocks have to agree with wilf , the situation could of been turned into a positive one.. Afterall, why should the dog (which may well be a child's pet) die just because the owners have not trained it properly? which tells me that the dog will escape and kill again!!! same rules apply as a fox To kill a dog should take some careful thought before pulling the trigger. I've done it myself, and would urge anyone considering it to think very carefully first. of course backstop, ricochets public saftey If anyone threatens to shoot a dog, no matter what the circumstances, involve the authorities. Do not take direct action, the law is there to protect the innocent. this i actually do agree with esp if children are involved

Dan just to reply to this i am far from macho i'm just a realist i understand the implications of what would follow but plain and simple a farmer would do it and not a person would bat an eye lid and if i did do it i would report it and follow the law. if that offends talk to your mp and maybe get him to ban all firearms while you at it!!!
