Yeah mate; in Oz the rough ones are called staghounds, and the smooth ones are called kangaroo hounds, sometimes you get both in the same litter !

I'm getting one myself in a fortnight Pure Deerhound x Greyhound/Collie/Greyhound. Very similar to CI HIR's 3rd post down. Also from Wales..nr Lampeter..could possibly be related?
