Guest buster321c
Right , my groupings have gone a bit haywire , and i can`t seem to get any consistency . What are the main things you would do to try to correct it ? First ,i took the scope off , gave the whole gun and scope a good clean , and started again . Second , zero`d the scope at 10 yds , 40yds , 20 yds , 30 yds , in that order Third, tried again with a full charge , just down to the sweet spot and fired off 30 shots at the same target , with some variation showing Forth , came on here to see what you would do ..... Fifth thought about a complete strip and lube for the gun and even a change of pellet ....... I always use teh same pellets , RWS super domes ,and never had much of a problem , don`t get me wrong im no sharp shooter , but im not that bad , any ideas appreciated , cheers guys . Matt2085 0
I have no idea of how experianced you are in shooting, but have you considered human error? I had the same problem last week until I realized I had bad posture and too firm of a grip on the stock. Thanks, Matt Quote Link to post

Guest buster321c
how are the skirts on the pellets i got a tin of accupell and the skirts were shit Im not as bad as an FT shooter , but i only use decent pellets , if they`ve strayed out the tin and fallen out , or if ive dropped some in my rucksack they dont get used , im a bit fussy , but not to the point of weighing them ,yet lol Quote Link to post

mushroom 13,072
with it being pcp could the recent heat have owt to do with it??? Quote Link to post
cottswood 0
alright buster what type of target are you aiming at cuz i tend to check zero at about 20 mtrs by shooting at a piece of board and see where pellet hits in relation to the cross hair and then if it lands smack on the cross hair i then put say another couple of pellets aiming at the first pellet hole to see if i get a nice grouping ,i prefer this to aiming at the paper tagets with a picture of a rabbit or summet ,i find this very accurate and i like to lean on a chair with me thick winter jacket under the gun as it makes a nice stable platform ,hope this helps OH and what do you call a full charge as i charge my s410 to about 180 which i read was more consistant than wacking it up to 200 ... Guest buster321c
you dont mate im affraid !!!! keep at it mate im sure you'll find the cause and it will be somthing and nothing....lol atb sean I have , slightly , altered the zero on the Ultra in recent weeks , but a few days ago whilst checking , i did get a good grouping , at 20 yds , and 30yds , easily in a 20 pence size . Today the S400 was 20 pence size at 20 yds , and at 30 -40 , i was into a 2 1/2 inch spread Quote Link to post
Guest buster321c
with it being pcp could the recent heat have owt to do with it??? I have thought about this , but surley if it made any difference , it would up the power and not change the zero ? But who knows ? Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
it does alter zero................but at an extreme it would be the equivelent of about 1/4" at 35yds. so i guess it must of been fecking hot down there .....lol have another go tomorrow mate it may all come good atb sean Quote Link to post
