It wouldnt make a blind bit of differance if this forum was private .

People monitor these sites on as regular basis to glean bits of information , People dont think about what pictures they put up . I know what pictures they are on about , Iam surprised it has taken as long as this to be used .

One of the problems of it being an open forum, makes it much easier for the anti's....

Open forum is OK imo so long as the knumbskulls keep their illegal activities to them selves!...

Exactly Mike, it won't stop them, just makes their life easier, and some people hand it to them on a plate

As sponsors of this excellent site, we only ever encourage legal hunting practices.

However, it is of course, very easy for an anti to get hold of a photo depicting animal abuse, join the forum, and post it up as a 'boast'.

Though I'm sure the pathetic, sad little tw@ts would never do such a thing.

When will they ever learn that TRUE fieldsportsmen really DO care about their quarry? In every section of society there are d1ckheads who spoil things for the legit guys, FFS, just leave us alone to enjoy our sport. :realmad:

I agree with Chilli, its not the forums fault, or the people who run it. Its the minority of idiots who like to post stupidly to make themselves look big and clever. I would presume every kind of forum will have the same type at some stage.

The media want to sell papers, and they know in the current climate anything to do with animals and hunting will help sell papers, and this is probably a clear indication snaring will be the next thing on the animal libs list to try to get banned.

Its not only the idiots who like to bragg but the people who will reply to a post someone makes when they say "taken prior to the ban" or "was dispatched with a shotgun", who do the stupid

;););) bet it was before the ban
, or
cant see the shotgun
Where they there, did they see the kill?? They could be getting someone into trouble or promoting false beliefs in people viewing.

i understand the threat but does this mean that nobody can put up a picture of a snared fox?? most of the posts i read are about a problem fox that has finally been caught and then the picture of it is put up because the lad or lassie is proud that he/she has done a good job. will these sort of pictures no longer be tolerated??

I'm sure there will be no problem with pics of snared, or shot foxes. Or for that matter, photos of shot rabbits, deer, pheasants, etc. These are perfectly LEGAL activities and should be constantly promoted as far as I'm concerned.

But any illegal stuff should be removed at the earliest opportunity and the member banned.

It is clear I am not a fan of snaring. But on this site it has to be admitted that the likes of P&G and others do nothing but try to promote legal and humane practice, the greater majority of lads and lasses on here are keen to educate the unexperianced on the best way to go about snaring in a legal and humane a way as possable.

All the banning of any forum would do is increase bad practice because where could they go to be put on the right road.

The same goes for all subjects on these forums, we all have dissagreement we all get out the pram sometimes, but by far most users of these sites are here to promote respect for the animals we are hunting.

Does this mean that nobody can put up a picture of a snared fox?

Damned if we do. Damned if we don't, mate.

The likes of Woodga and P&G (Leading lights of said, " North Eastern Cell ", no doubt! ) post excellent and Instructive stuff. They do this not to " Brag ", but to ensure we lesser mortals get the right information and so learn to make a proper job of it. Thus negating any chance of us causing animal suffering :good:

But, of course, a dead creature in a snare is grist to their mill - the Anti's. They'll always help themselves to the pictures and add what ever gory captions they can dream up.

So; Mr 'Ga and Mr G; Would you kindly stop feeding their fever?'. Then what? We have a new rash of sixteen year old kids out there, reading Tideline books, watching 'That' video and - in their blissful ignorance - possibly getting it all wrong and causing unnecassery suffering. And whose fault will That outcome be ....?

It's like the old maxim about, " When all guns are criminalised, only the crimunals will have guns ". Same thing: Once the Anti's have had all Legal and Effective methods of vermin control stopped; People will have to use covert and Illegal methods. And, if a Breakaway Snare is as illegal as that old Gin Trap ....?

They'll get their way. Then the animals they purport to be out to protect will reap the wind.

Two " Guests " and two " Hidden Members " studying this Thread. Even as we form it .....
