droid 11
I have a shit before I go.I'm an adult, I can control my bowels....usually You can't control the shit that you write though. Anyone with a bowel disorder shouldn't go fishing then, I have a friend with crohns, that goes fishing, can make it quite difficult for him sometimes. If it's that bad you can work round it without 'leaving the evidence', or is that too difficult for an 'Essex Boy'? Quote Link to post
mushroom 13,227
you carry it in you carry it out!!! except the turd just do it where it aint visable unless a labour mp lives close by then just do it on his/her lawn dont get caught Quote Link to post

Hardly boys anymore, where I was born and decided to live doesn't have any bearing to the subject in hand. When I lived in London, fished the Thames on occassions, not exactly quiet, mainly full of runners, enough people to create a mess. Quote Link to post
markp76 0
Not just the Thames though, the Trents littered with shit and beer cans in the right/wrong places! Al the so called popular spots frequented by the new generation of barbel angler or carbler as there now called, never met a nigger bunch of w**kers in my life they should all bugger off back to the ponds and leave the rivers to us that care! Feel better after that rant! Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
Its a topic that makes my blood boil seeing shit ie dead bait packets empty beer cans ect.So it was a refreshing change [bANNED TEXT] we went to fish the A1 pits and the baillif told us if you leave any rubbish you will be banned for life he told us he had banned a lot of lads night fishing for carp after a few trips he trusted us to lock the gate with the combination.Be better if a lot more bailifs were like him.atvb Quote Link to post
markp76 0
It would be nice to see a baliff and some of the stretches i fish, if they were around to dish out bans i think there would be fewer rubbish problems on the banks. Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Leaving litter is beyond me totally .Take nothing but photo's ,leave nothing but footsteps is the old adage around us and it works . Quote Link to post
fin and fur 2
If you need to go when fishing, or for that matter whilst engaged in any outdoor activity then the decent thing to do is bury it. Many years back i used to climb and the advice to climbers was always to smear the offending log over a rock, which would allow it to degrade faster, however the sight would be enough to disgust most people in the short term so i always favoured the burying option. As for the other, more general litter there is no excuse, it always surprises me that people will carry weighty tins and bags full of food etc into the countryside, consume the food, and then fail to take the packaging home with them even though it is now lighter sans contents. johnnyboy28 1
I help run a syndicate in Essex so litter is not too much a problem because the members know its an instant ban. AS FOR LONDON Just take a look at what this goverment has allowed to live there and that will explain all Quote Link to post
EskdaleHawks 8
I don't fish but I have been volunteering for the National Trust as part of a countryside course at college.Well they have a stretch of the Thames where they maintain the swims and charge people to fish there at day rate. Yesterday I decided to collect litter and on and around the swims were littered with empty beer cans, disposible BBQ's, wrappers of all descriptions. One particularly filthy wart on the backside of humanity had left a shit there. I really can't get my head around how someone would want to spend some time with nature then leave it like a slum, they must have no respect for themselves or there surroundings. Is this a common problem with fishermen? Shepp Shepp, When I was a lad just starting out with fishing, I was taught to take ALL my litter home with me and had it drummed in to me what the consequences of my actions would have on the local wild life if I failed to do so. To this day I don't drop litter, And when fishing take home all my discarded line. It's not just anglers who are to blame. Where I live there is a big problem with Townies coming to a beautiful river gorge to jump off the bridge and "play" on a rope swing suspended over the water. When it is realy hot weather they can be clearly heard upto half a mile away apparently enjoying themselves. If you go down to the river after they have been it is like a bomb site! Litter can be found everywhere, beer cans, plastic bags, throw away barbacues etc. I get so annoyed when I see this. I often wonder what their reaction would be if us country folk went and did the same in their front/back gardens? Please be aware that just because you find all manner of things around where anglers frequent it may not be them that are responsable for the litter that you have to pick up! Quote Link to post
