clivej 0
I will be getting my second-hand Sako 75 in .308 soon and what to know what ammo I should be thinking of using for deer stalking. Many people have said to use soft point only and avoid meat damage while others are true to the balistic tip rounds. I am leaning towards the Federal Fusion 150gr SP but I'm open to your thoughts. I have also posted this thread on other forums to see what the answer may be. Edited July 4, 2009 by clivej Quote Link to post

provarmint 25
I use 150 Nosler BT's, the slowish velocity of the .308 doesn't cause too much meat damage, and I find them very accurate in my 75. PV. Quote Link to post
john robbo 30
i do not allow my clients to use any plastic points unless they are buying the carcass even if neck shot. meat damage and brusing is generally unaceptable to my custormers. though they generally are very accurate and kill deer very well. soft points for me nosler partitions by choice any calibre, any wieght, any deer.
