wiki or not it still has all the info the other sites i researched had and if you look it up your self you'll see this!!! every site i saw said that they were a very ancient kind of dog nowadays they may heve ab in them or whatever but alaunts originaly did not as the yank bulldog wasn't around for the next 1500 years.

trace the history of the bulldog/or any mastiff and they all originate from the alaunt type's,they just evolved from alaunt into the modern day mastiff's type's. what one man called an alaunt yes back,we call a mastiff today.the alaunt's being bred now are far better examples of the original than the so called modern mastiff type's.the alaunt gentile (alaunt/mastiff x running dog) was probably the first type of what we call today a lurcher.

i dont see whats so good, either you or some other alaunt guy said they werent as game as a bullx, so i dont see the point.

i think bud 9 owned a very well bred game bullx and he said his alaunt was the better dog in alot of cases the make up of the alaunt is more than 50% bull greyhound any way.one of the advantages they do have is when put back to a greyhound the pups would hopefully be taller 25-27''ats

i had a well bred bullx bitch and she was very game but she never had that extra gear she needed always gave 100% everytime i tried but my alaunt has far more power and does not take the punishment that the bullx took heres my alaunt bitch
