Garypco 3 Posted July 3, 2009 Report Share Posted July 3, 2009 it depends on what laws are set in the area you live,we have beaches set in out county that are dog ban areas during the summer months,if your dog is on a lead he has no power to impound your dog...if its off a lead he cant physycally take it unless its out of control ive picked dogs up before now and closed the van door as the owners were approaching only once have i refused to give the dog back as the dog involved was a very aggressive nutcase intent on killing any dog in its field of vision! what you may find yourself being subject to is the new clean neighbourhoods and enviroment act were offending dogs/people will be hit with a fixed penalty fine! find out if the beach ur on is one of these places that have a dog exemption order,if it is be careful of a ticket the fine out county charge is £75 for each offence so if the guy is a c o ck you could get hit say £75 if the dog is out of control in a public place,£75 if its in a banned area and a further £75 if the dog fouls!! some wardens are cocks but generally the dog wardens are genuine dog minded people... however some dog owners are just brain dead and dont get it!! if its a banned area its a banned area for good reason... how would you like your child to run up the beach bawling her eyes out because shes fallen in runny dogshit while playing catch etc... im not saying ur in one of the brain dead categories however have a think why this guy is being the way he is!!! he might be in the right!!! if not tell him to bog off and do his worst!!! as a dogwarden i generally try to do the right thing by most people however sometimes folk just dont get it!! its funny tho if you were walking with a working bred dog on my area i would probably be a bit more reasonable lol!!!
