dirtwinger 235 Posted July 3, 2009 Report Share Posted July 3, 2009 I borrow my mates dogs quite often in the season, but I bred two of his three dogs and he knows he can trust me. You have to be prepared to pay vet bills though, two of my dogs were lame and I took his out instead. Both of them got ripped on barbwire chasing a hare I had to get both stitched up. You have to have complete trust and know that things can happen if you do this. I have someone who looks after one of mine if I go away with the others but never taken out to work.. just walked and sofa space.. I am pretty much the only one to handle my dogs although my son makes an effort every now and again Having said that I don't think it breaks a bond with the owner.
