Wild Boy 0
You should never never ever believe a traveler. Take the dog out and try it, make sure there is nothing wrong with him. You will have to be carefull not to miss anything. Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
Dont buy the dog you will onley encourige them they will then try and palm their crap or nicked dogs off on you and anybody buying a pure springer off a traveller odds on it will be nicked. Link to post

I find when a good lad gets a dog that lets say hasnt been treated the best, the dog would be do anythin.. This dog probably hasnt bonded wit any human yet.. Go for it man.. All the best mate.. jakeuk1 0
A few questions you need to find out first............. Is it a sheep killer? Is it hard mouthed? Is it possesive over quarry/food? Will it retrieve? Will it come back to you? Will it bark/howl all night? Will it fight/attack other dogs? Is it 'Blown' due to running too much to young? Does it 'open up' on quarry? Travellers dont usually get rid of a good dog, Be very wary! And good luck if you take the gamble! Link to post

bullx 12
most times when travellers have had their time with their dogs they usually breed of them and then sell the bitch,i would be on two minds about buying this dog,1.either hes fcuk all use or his sell buy date is nearly up,and most of the travellers i know off hunt hare all year round so probably hes giving a bit of tongue, but if your still interested in him,try him out on the lamp and see what hes like.
