Keeps 403
There's a picture of jay at woolslingham a few years back on your site Keeps,i'm sure she's stood with Bo.I had hold of the lead at the time but can't really remember lol,i think jay may have been Eire x stanhill billy. I thought that was her Fireman, I took the photo, I remember seeing her there, she won the bitch class didnt she Shame about that Stevie. Quote Link to post

Big bald beautiful 1,231
whats some snap down it, a bag of bones Quote Link to post
fireman 10,975
Thats her Keeps and i remember it was my better half holding the lead, thanks.bbb imo that bitch ain't such a bag of bones, maybe not muscled up like she should be but not under weight.Maybe setting myself up here but she took first place in the bitch class then so if she was such a bag of bones then surely the judge wouldn't have placed her?,i have seen her work on rats and she's no slouch with a good nose and although she has spent most of her life as a brood bitch i'd make kennel space for her,i don't get on with her owner at all but she is a good dog and i'll give credit where credits due. Big bald beautiful 1,231
looks to skinny if you ask me, pity as you say "brood bitch". so many are producing pups just because of there breeding or that they look a nice stamp. spoke to a lad in the next village on tuesday night, his bitch was in pup 2nd litter and the bitch is just TWO. because he was told they sell and the bitch was from a good line how goods the line if every other person thinks like that Quote Link to post
Rugersrob 38
Were them foxes run down by a car? I was very pleased with him as he was an exceptional gun dog as well as an earth dog. I used him for several years on the peg and he would find and retrieve all I shot (not much then) even woodcock that some spanials had missed or refused to pick. Maybe not the best in others eyes especially the proper earth dogs keepers but I was happy with him. i think thats what people on this forum forget it doesn't matter how good or bad your dog is aslong as it pleases you.. my bitch wont go to ground but after rabbits and ratting im totaly over the moon with her.. Too many "pups" are bred from "pups" for only money. With regards to skinny dogs I had trouble keeping weight on both of mine. Only time they looked really well is on whole rabbit/fresh meat. fireman 10,975
Agree with you there and the title brood bitch makes me cringe but thats what she has been, don't know how often she herself was hunted but i'd of had her out as much as i could as the little bits i've seen her do she did well.Well these lads with this attitude of she's got good blood so lets tap into it need to wake up and get a grip and test them first before breeding them, just glad there are a few lads out there that are testing their plummers so hopefully the future for this breed won't be all about rossettes.I myself have just had a plummer litter but it took a couple of seasons of work before they proved worthy of breeding from and i knew i'd have not greatly marked pups as far as plummers go but they weren't bred for looks but for work. dumbo 0
Sorry to hear of your loss Steve. He looked a nice dog that was capable. I have his half bro here and wouldn't be without him. I ask fireman who has labelled the bitch a brood - what constitutes a brood bitch? Jay has not been bred from in 15 months and prior to that i think had only been bred from once by her owner. Her previous owner never had her long enough to breed masses from her either... It sounds to me like you are still not over your probs with her now owner and are still looking at getting at him through the plummer terrier by making inaccurate statements about certain dogs and how they are treated in order to settle personal differences. Sorry mate but if jay had been bred from loads and abused I would be the first to say but she hasn't . Basically I can't see anything wrong, she is a good bitch that you admit can graft and has gone on to produce workers. Why wouldn't you breed from her when it is right to do so. Where is the problem? Jamie - she is naturally thin, you can't get any weight on her. Just like china. Both nice and quick. Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
whats her stile like when working fox? bayer, hard or mixture Quote Link to post
fireman 10,975
Well dumbo dan, just what is she then?,she's only been bred from once in so many months, well your wrong!,she has been bred more than that but didn't take so do a bit more homework on what you think you know. It's not a get at at her new owners at all just fact, but then he hides the faults his dogs throw so your'll never know the truth from him.You want to get off your high horse and whatever i've ever said on any forum is FACT not inaccurate statements as you would like to wish,as for graft!,i said i've seen her rat(around his own kennels)and she was no slouch not graft as in the proper sence of the word. Also as for saying you'd be the first to say if she had been abused, your so full of sh*t pal tell us about the 10th of august then(of which i'll say again i had feck all to do with)and are you still punting his pups for him?.Your so far up his arse your hair colour is brown,so really go back to your own 3 times owned brood bitch who lived in a shed for a year and be the something your trying to be else where.bbb she's never seen a fox as far as i'm aware and dan the problem folks have with plummers is that not enough of them are worked to test them before breeding from them hence the negative feeling towards them from the terrier world and thats why i wouldn't have bred from her myself.Sorry Steve for turning this into another plummer bitching fest. oyama 27
If you notice all these certain bitches like Jay stay with the the breeder for a couple o years and then are moved on.a couple of litters then moved on.Jay,Harlow and many many more.Of which I can list a fair few.so I would say they are breeding machines for at least the early part of there lifes.
