what would happen if a member of the public did this!!!!????

why has the officer in question NOT been suspended ????.......surely this is the worst error a dog handler could ever make.

instant dismissal in my opinion along with the maximum fine/prison sentence.

unbeleivable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:shok: :shok: WTF if this had of been me and it was my dogs that died in the car i would be villified everwhere in the media, the rspca would use me as an advertising campaign to fill the coffers and probably bring criminal proceedings against me with a hefty fine and a poss holiday at one her majesty's butlins before bringing civil claims aswell, i would most likely be banned from owning animals due to serious neglect(and fookin rightly so) and that's before they find the rifle in the car and realise i'm a murdering b@stard hunter :D then they'll have a bloody field day with me. :icon_eek: it just is not right this copper should have the same cosiquences as everyone else, the thick tosser. shows the calibre of our police force today   Edited by mushroom

At the end of the day nothing will be done about it and think of the cost it took to train these dogs paid by the taxpayer. My father did his national service in the royal vetinary core and if this happend in the millitry i am sure charges would be brought against the offender.:wallbash:

If there is one thing the policee do, its look after there own, he wont face anything.

Actually quite surprised it came out at all, part of me thinks they must of been forced into the press release, otherwise it would of been brushed under the constabulary carpet.

Been listening to five live and they had a guy from the RSPCA(await the boo's!) and he had a shocking statistic.

A car left with its windows closed in 22 degree heat will reach 47 inside in 20 minutes.

Statement coming any moment from the police force involved, see if/what excuse they come up with.

totally unacceptable behavior , and there ment to enforce the law , it beggers belief how anyone can leave any animal in a car any time of the year not just in this heat :censored: :censored:

I disagree to some extent Kay . . . . my dogs are always out and about with me, especially when i'm out photographing the hunt. They get left in the car and are more than happy, the boot has a huge cage and they will happily snooze in there whilst i go about my business, they love being out with me.

That said it's common sense isn't it, if they happen to be with me in this heat, which is very rare . . . i open the boot and have a padlock on the cage, bowl of water , the car is always parked in shade and i never leave them long.

Like anything there will always be the idiots that exploit things and the fact that in this instance it was the police, is un acceptable.

i think the real issue is that it will be swept away out of sight with no consequences to the officer involved!!! i've already said that if it was anyone of here the book would be hitting us straight away. law in this country is very unbalanced

Would the RSPCA dare prosecute the police, hmmmmmmmmmmm :hmm:

it would have to be a civil case unless, when the RSPCA present the case to the CPS (like the police do) they (the CPS) decide weather there is enough evidence at hand to enable prosicution. Can anyone see the CPS doing this??? i think not :wankerzo4:
