Thanks, have to ring the blacksmith welding place in the town. Won't it rust if not galvanized? Suppose if it's cheap enough don't matter.

 

just paint it with black hammerite paint it will take a while though

post-19091-1246572152.jpg nice kennels mate. did you put polystyrene under the bed before concreteing it. i done this with mine and it keeps cool in summer and warm in winter. i built mines with the help of my son. good to have lots of height for walking in to clean eh ?. Well done to you ATB, DEL.

That's a nice and tidy set up, but personally I'd want a bed area with the option of being enclosed in the cold weather: open bed areas are great in summer but don't offer the dog any protection in winter: OK for GSDs and the like (heavy coated breeds) but for small dogs or lurchers they are likely to get chilled.

the bed is raised of the ground 2inchs and plywood all round the inside.As for the cold i had a pen next to it only bigger and the same bed had no problems im making the big one into a shed

Look's a nice clean set up Twiggy .... Fair play to ya :thumbs:

 

Just one thing, I would of built the sleeping area up just a touch more so a piece of ply could be dropped on top in the winter

its ok mate its nice and cosy in there. the dog was in the 1 next two it for over a year and had no problems
