My Great Country

Recommended Posts

It's a national holiday in Canada today. If I were home today, I'd be dressed in red and white. I'd be going to bbq's, parks and parades. I'd be sitting on a grassy hill with thousands of other Canadians, new and native, listening to music and chiling out. I'd be watching fireworks and enjoying a cold Moosehead or Canadian beer.

I. Am. CANADIAN.

And a snappy little tune with a great bunch of images from home .... today is one day when wish I was home.

So, if there's any other Canadians on here - Happy Canada Day, hosers!

Happy, belated ,Canada day Eh!

O Canada!

Our home and native land!

True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,

The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Try telling that to someone who is living in a slum.

Andy I grew up in a slum. Canada isn't all sweetness and light. It's also guns, drugs, prostitution, gangs, serial killers and paedos.

And that's why I can say life is what you make it. You have to rise above where you come from even if you're still living in it. England is so beautiful. Look up, look around, embrace the things that make this place so Great. If you dwell on the negative, that attitude will follow you wherever you go.

Kenny, thanks for the rendition of O Canada! Are you Canadian??
