Lee85 44
Do you split up? Walk together and take it turn? Just both shoot anything either of you see? I've been walking with my cousin and talking it in turns, ie my go your go. Our permission isn't really all that big to be splitting up Quote Link to post

billbroon 9
When im out with airguns i prfer to be by myself, alot less noise and it alot better for stalking u feel more at 1 with the countryside. But on the other hand u get a good laugh and banter when your with someone. So if a was u just stay together have a laugh but if u want serious shooting, do it alone !! spike25blue 55
me and smoky go around together and take it in turns on the single rabbits but if there are 2 or 3 sat together then 1 takes the keft 1 takes the right and that seems to work for us as we both have gun mounted lamps atb rob Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
only split for a pee or when one takes a peeky at a usual spot. worst one is chaising a squirrel, one each side the tree, the second you see it it runs down the ourside then stops...right behind it is your shooting buddy, just as it darts away! Lee85 44
Seriously need to get myself a good lamp setup, i made the mistake of getting a 10 billion trillion power torch thinking that was the key, naively! Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
hi i have to say my best hunting is on my own,go when i want, leave when i want.no distractions ,but no one to film the kills, when i team up with Charlie { my apprentice } we go are separate ways most of the time, but occasionally do some static shooting and have a laugh then set a time to meet for a cuppa or lunch, we are in constant touch with the radio's.in case of an emergency? regards davy Quote Link to post
moxy 617
I agree with davy, best results are got when your on your tod. But going with somebody else who knows the shooting ground as well as you can work well and produce good results. They or yourself can flush the quarry to each other. This works especially well while lamping. Walking togeather also has its benefits, it gives you a clear idea who is the better shot between you and your buddy, so you can rub salt into the wounds over a bit of friendly banter Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
With me it depends how many rabbits I need, if I need a few we split up and text each other when we nail one, if its pigeons in a roosting tree, then we take a side each, if we are out on a jolly we just take turns, depending on who I go with, I some times prefer the banter to a big bag Quote Link to post
