skycat 6,173
Now here's a difficult one! Times I've been to see a person and come away with a malnourished, cowed dog and ended up buying the dog just to get it out of where it is: but I haven't dared to say anything to the person at the time as I'm a 5' 6' female and if the person I'm facing is a large bloke I'd hardly fancy my chances if it came to a punch up! Also, I've found that most of these people who keep their dogs in shit conditions and badly fed etc don't actually realise they are doing anything wrong! They've seen their fathers/uncles/grandads keep dogs like that so just do the same, and any attempt to educate them into improving their dogs' lives is met with a load of abuse. At least here on the internet people can learn without coming face to face with someone who is trying to help the dogs, and so not lose face or feel ignorant, which is I think one of the biggest problems when it comes to men: the not losing face thing I mean. Just my take on things from a female point of view, and yes, I've also seen women keeping dogs in shit conditions, but those have been mainly pedigree show dog women. Quote Link to post

matty73 4
Was it advertised as just leaving a litter? Many bitches look under the weather after raising a litter some pictures might give more info. most bitches lose weight and condition after whelping especially if it was a large litter plus if it has any percentage of saluki in its breeding they look malnourished at the best of times or was it the conditions it was kept in that ticked you off, pictures and more detailed info would help Edited July 1, 2009 by matty73 Quote Link to post
