othickman 6
I was thinking for camping purposes and the like, how do you cook a rabbit with an open fire with minimal equipment (pots and pans)? 'Cause the best I can think of at the moment is once I've gutted and separated the parts I want to cook leave them in their bits of skin and pull out some hot embers from the fire and cook it in that, regularly turning over and refreshing the embers. Would that work? Anyway, I don't suppose anyone could talk me through cooking rabbit on an open fire or link me to somewhere, thanks.

graniteman 0
Best way ive found is to wrap the rabbit in some foil and pop him in the embers .

This might sound odd but i did once use a tv antenna to cook a rabbit on an open fire.... it just happened to be there when we were camping in some woodland..... attatched the rabbit to the antenna by cutting little holes for it to fit through and used two fork shaped branches to hold it over the fire.
