ianltz 5
Hi guys, been lookin at the hushpower 9" moderator for my webley and scott 410 bolt action from saddlery and gunroom. anyone had any experience with these? ie. do they work, at a cost of only £55 im very tempted. but like to know your thoughts, apparently it just bolts on to the barrel and cuts noise by up to 50%, let me know if you have tried it. They work very well. They screw onto a friction fit bush that must be turned out to the o / dia of your barrel approx an inch from the muzzle. Drift the bush on with Loctite and a rubber mallet or similar. Edited June 30, 2009 by spanner Quote Link to post

ianltz 5
so does that mean if i buy a moderator it will have to go to the gunsmith to be fitted?? or is it something i could do myself? Quote Link to post
ellir0305 9
so does that mean if i buy a moderator it will have to go to the gunsmith to be fitted?? or is it something i could do myself? from the sound of the previous post the bushing it screws onto needs to be turned in a lathe to the correct diameter which is something you can do yourself if you have a metal working lathe but if you or a friend doesnt have one and know what to do with it i expect the gunsmith is your best bet. sounds pretty simple though Quote Link to post
