what would you recomend for a first air rifle

Recommended Posts

The Air Arms 200/400 are very good. I wouldn't know about the ultra but I do know B.S.A make cracking barrels.

Does your budget include scopes and filling equipment if so you wont afford all of it. Cheaper to go for a decent springer,(teaches good technique aswell).

Whatever you choose shoot safe and enjoy.

as above i would like a pcp and only have a budget ov 350 i like the bsa ultra i seen 1 at the highland games yesterday and really liked it.

air arms s200/s400. i did a poll with bsa ultra against air arms s200 and the ultra had 7 votes and the s200 had 20. of course it up to you wich gun you buy. many commented on the ultras small loding port on the single shot (which is 350).

to tell you the truth mate i would go for a springer like a wheirauch 95 light, accurate and powerfull ideal for beginners. You will possibly have to buy a 2nd hand pcp for 350 to get a half decent one, to tell you the truth but i would go for the wheirauch its an awesome gun , i have just sold mine an im starting to wish i didnt

hope i have helped in a way

happy hunting

for a starting rifle i'd say go for a spring mate, like HW97K or TX200

remember what the people say: if you can shoot spring, you can shoot anything~
