I'm not trying to have a go or that but if these dogs are not yours then why are you putting put the pictures? And did you ask the owners permission first? I know the conditions areNOT ideal. But there maybe a reason for it maybe be "temp housing" for what ever reason. But the point i am making is that if these dogs are not yours then you shouldnt be posting their pics

perhaps I shouldn't, perhaps he shouldn't have given me abuse for asking a simple question.... the pics are already on here posted by the owner of the dogs, I've just moved them !!!!

perhaps we should all mind our own business and leave dogs live in squalor, he has no excuse, they are not temporary if he can't house them so they can have a decent standard of life perhaps he shouldn't have them !!!!

oh!! and I'm an armchair hunter, internet warrior call me what you like !!! but I will speak out whn I think something is wrong !!!

I see in your last sentance you are getting ratty with me! I never mentioned any thing about you beiing "a armchair hunter or internet worrior"! I just stated that i think that you are in the wrong for starting this silly thread. As i said before yes the living conditions are NOT ideal. I totally agree more amo for the anti's against us like minded people. If the pics were already posted on a diffrent thread then why start a new one with a stupid flipping pole?

Our dogs are expected to do there best so we have a responsibility to provide them with the best diet/housing/healthcare etc, those "kennels" appear to fall short........................like Ronnie Corbett short..................

the thing is that everyone starts somwhere when they get into dogs, and one of the really GOOD things about t'internet is that everyone can learn something: God knows there's enough experts on here to make a real difference to a dog's life. And no, I'm not being saracastic.

I feel sorry for you Digger Dan: you put on those pics in all innocence and get a load of flack, but at the end of the day maybe you can learn summat too. Gundogs may be OK on a hard surface bed, but IMO, lurchers, being bonier, thinner skinned dogs need more than a hard surface to lie on, and yes, they do need room to stretch out on a warm bed, be it of straw, blankets or whatever.

A dog may seem OK for a few years on a hard, cold surface, but sooner or later it will suffer from arthritis, sore elbows and hocks etc. All you need is a pallet, some planks or a bit of ply: cover the pallet, nail some planks round the sides to cut any draught and hold the bedding in and hey presto you have a decent bed probably for nowt if you can scavenge the makings of it.

Swanseajack, for gods sake dont apologise, imo you were right to start this thread, this type of dog husbandry went out in the dark ages, and as for it being a silly thread again imo this is one of the best threads ive seen, we all have a duty of care to guard against giving our flowery smelling, quorn eating, dreadlock combing friends called the anti's ammunition with which they can use against us, this needs to be stopped, no need for it, were in a fight gentlemen, every day the clock is ticking down to when our way of life is taken away from us or driven further underground, so we all as a group need to try our hardest to be squeaky clean, starting with our own animals.

Just a thought, as I can not see all of the dogs sleeping area the dog would curl up when cold on the shelf and lie out on the floor if too warm.

I was told a long time ago by an old school Gamekeeper called Walter Allan if you house train your Pup the Kennel is much easier to keep as for the poster who says they need somewhere to Pee and S**te it is easier to keep your dog without having mess all about the Kennel.

The local hunt bed the hounds on Slabs above Polystyrene blocks to make them easy to keep clean with a hose.

Just remember look after the dog and he will look after you :)

Yep :victory: , as been said could be rough in the winter in there. With alot of lurchers that dont have good+thick coats, do feel the cold as most lurchers [Dont ] have much [body-fat].. My Dog Bryn out side but as a Good thick coat.plus as a basket in his kennel, and as the yard to empty out.

He is in good con+and a good coat. :victory:

its not showing the whole kennel, so how do we know the size of the place,i think this is crap post put on here to stir up, the dogs look well enough, so its not a welfare issue, if someone had put this on this on about mine i,d have the raging hump, and find who did it , be round to them and kick the holy mother up and down the fekking hedge, and tell them in a fekking language that they understand to mind their own and keep your own house in order, no nothing thick inbred twat, and never interfere ever again, i aint voted not my buisness, this site is getting worse.
