adam s 32
and losing your nets bad enough in the daytime how many would u lose at night. fooking plain stupin if you ask me I totally agree, it would make it a hell of alot harder to do things and you could so easily lose a net or a ferret and why go out at night when you could be just as sucsessful during the day. We did it when we were young ,even though there was loads of rabbits in our fields we could not resist the big open field setts on the neighbouring estate, the two most important things for nighttime ferreting ,were ,white ferrets ,and a guts full of shipstones mild. hunter16 0
presume you go at night, through not having permission, something like that.... think when i get mine il stick to the day time Quote Link to post
smokin 0
there may be certain legitimate circumstances for doing it at night - where the process of dispatching the rabbits could be sensitive - eg on school grounds or golf courses. i have had a permission on a school ground for shooting and it was strictly darkness hours as the public were there between 0600-2200 most days. now - whos breeding glow in the dark ferrets? maybe led flashing collars and reflective tape on the pegs would make it doable atb chris Quote Link to post

the fezz 44
the old boys used to do it , usually for a spot they were not allowed on , its best done on a moon light night and me old dad used to put a bell on there coller and would allways go with a couple of mates . more eyes the better dont knock it untill you have tryed it Quote Link to post
ASME IX 1
i cant say iv ever ferreted at night but heres a sugestion.....i guess starlights used for fishing could be attached to the locator collars to help keep track of the ferrets. asme9 Quote Link to post
