jultaylor1972 2
Not a good day. Got home after night shift; cleaned the ferrets out (A daily occurrence) Went to put the ferrets back into the court and my hob ‘George’ just didn’t look right . He was salivating a lot and looked listless. Straight off to the vets to be told it looked like something neurological? Perhaps a stroke or distemper!! He had a steroid and antibiotic injection and will be going back to the vets first thing in the morning. In the meantime I have to keep him separate from the rest and have to keep an eye on the rest for the next week. Just hope my luck changes and he’s ok. I’d really hate to lose him or any of them for that matter. Quote Link to post

jultaylor1972 2
Well, better news today. He responded to the antibiotic and steroid injection which means that its likely to be a middle ear infection, as long as he stays ok for the next week while he's on the antibiotics he should be fine! So Im well chuffed and feeling a lot happier today. Just shows its worth taking them to the vets at the first signs of illness. It did cost me a small fortune but he's a great worker and he's only 1 year old so should have many years left in him! Quote Link to post
