scudman 0
Hi chaps I have bought a 100 yard long net that I would like to adapt to a drop net. I am new to longnetting but only want to drop the net after setting it up during the day. Could anyone send me detailed pictures as to the best way to do this. I have lots of ideas but know that you experienced guys will have done this all before! I am dying to get out there but don't want to waste my hard earnt money on buying the wrong things. Cheers. Gollum read all the posts on your thread, Mick Mansbridge did do some drop netting on one of his vids he used gas barrel though. How did you get on with your efforts, did you post another thread on the subject? Quote Link to post

Hi Badgeroy, I haven't done any more testing.... what I can say with certainty is that the designs I put up work in operational terms. i.e. the net stays lofted when its supposed to and drops reliably. It is stable, and extemely cheap to manufacture. £30 or thereabouts. The area of doubt in my experience is the rabbits passing under it, however, another chap on here has followed my method and had success. No probs with rabbits passing under the net at all. Whats does Mick Mansbridge's gas barrel do? HH. G. Quote Link to post
