Col_c 0
hey. i literally just registered, the posts ive read.. wow i wish everyone were as kind as you lot!... a little about myself... im 20, from the North East of England, i have a 1 year old Patterdale Terrier named Reno the help? i have a few questions.. 1) is 1 year old too old to start anything with him? if not.... 2) i have a cat (sisters .. bleh cats).. would i be ok to start doing stuff with him 3) is there any sites, or anything on here that could tell me how to start him on ANYTHING, where to look, how to go about it basicly.. the reason i ask is.. me and my dad have always wanted to work him since the day we got him. he has a TON of energy (as patterdales do) and today i took him for a walk and i saw his hunting insticnts kick in through some fields and bushes etc. and it really made me relise how smart he actually is (even tho he acts dumb) and i think it would also be good for HIM to do some of what he is holding back (try telling a fish not to swim etc..) anyways thanks in advance smile.gif ps: im sorry if this is not the right site or forum etc. to post this kind of stuff in i literally just found it 10 mins ago Quote Link to post
shaun dee 7
areet mate you can ask anythink on this site and you will mostley recive positive and helpful feedback.what you should do is ask some terriermen if there willing to let you tag along on a days out weither its out ratting or digging with some experienced terriers to bring your dog on then when your dog has gained some experience do what you wish. p.s 1 yr old for me os the right age to start bringing a pup on with a few rats, or take it along to a dig to see whats what sorry about grammar. atb shaun edited to change banned text Edited June 25, 2009 by shaun dee Quote Link to post

shaun dee 7
theres a section in the forum where you can ask for days/nights out with experienced terriermen just ask and tell them that your terrier is hyper im sure you'll get a few replies and your terrier will hopefully calm down when it sees some action and get stuck in. if not then id go get that card from murton and tag along haha cheers shaun Quote Link to post
