Stabs 3
its all about science mate Thank f**k it's not all about spelling and punctuation How do you think WILF knows what you are up to? WILF is omnipotent. If you're on some ground where you shouldn't be, and you think you can hear "knees up mother brown"....or maybe smell the faint whiff of jellied eels....He's there.....watching....... Rainmaker 7
csme, you say it's all about the science. They also say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing! For example, quantum physics will tell you that Buddhist cosmology, written 2500 years ago, was actually correct right down to the quantum level. We, and everything around us, are not actual solid physical matter, but photons of non-solid light and other 'etheric' matter. Only the relatively (subjectively) experienced opposing magnetic fields around atoms and molecules give the appearance (illusion) of solidarity as some fields attract and others repel. This is what happens if you try to hit a brick wall, for example. The wall is actually only made of light and energy matter, not solid. But because it has a different wavelength to you, you'll perceive it as a solid object. Not so. In fact, there is now a great deal of real-life bona fide scientific evidence that light only exists while there is somebody there to perceive (i.e. look at) it. This means any visible light in the universe (including that making up objects and people) only actually exists while you're there to perceive it. The implications are mind-boggling, and this is all 'hard science', nothing to do with mediums or religion. Very interesting. It also ties in with the ancient Indian/Buddhist theory of Shunyata or Emptiness... that all things are empty of inherent independent existence, and that the so-called physical universe is actually merely an expression of our own inner processes, our own external projection of our consciousness - like a waking dream. Things only exist because we experience them, in other words. They, the physicists, will also tell you that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed. What happens to your (hopefully) decades of electrical brainwave activity, memories, personality etc upon death? Science tells us it can't be destroyed, so?... Blaming mediumship on 'body language reading' is a rather blase and shallow hypothesis, is it not? From someone with 1st class honours in Psychology at degree level, let me assure you that "Uncle George says to stop leaving the grill on in the monrings" (or similar specific information) is NOT something people tend to carry around in their body language... Cold reading does exist, and is used by frauds around the world. It's also a great deal more complicated than body language lol That doesn't mean the real deal doesn't exist though. For example, you say it's all about the ££££ and people are deluding themselves. What about the mediums I know who would make your hair stand on end with the detailed information they can give you without you saying a word, without ever having met you, and NOT wanting to charge a SINGLE PENNY for what they consider carrying out their duty to provide comfort? It's a lot more complicated than you're making out, no matter which side of the fence you fall on. Science is fun, eh?
