maybe it's just because of the time of year mate and he wants to find a jill to rag around his hutch?

a lot of my mates hobs are the same at the minute.

They both hobs Lass and thats what i was thinking but he nearly had my finger off when i was putting him in the hutch

Ah right :hmm:

If he dose go to nip you id give him a gentle flick on the nose.

Don't.

That's an 'Old Bob' trick that'll just as likely make him worse. If he's not castrated, get him done. That'll calm him down.

also have to say, animals can sense when your frightened of them, its obvious he can be handled, as you comment he's ok with your dad, but if your picking up, being hesitant, expecting to get bittern, you probably will, watch him before picking up, bring your hand in from behind, rather than "offering" it in his face,

Thats a good thought but im not really scared of him its just im a bit wary of handleing him when hes like that take today for instance my dad was holding him i went to stroke him and he went for me straight away and when my dad holds him hes constantly looking at me? Maybe hes got a crush? :icon_eek::laugh:;)

I had a hob that whenever he came in to season changed personality overnight , he would grab me, arms , hands, if he could & hang on, he would straddle my arm , holding on for dear life as if he were trying to mate , the bites werent the sort you get when you pick up a hungry ferret, no chomping down on the flesh , just a very tight grip of what ever flesh he could get hold off
