frost 4 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Share Posted June 22, 2009 I have been in this game ever since i can remember and what happened to me at the weekend is the one of the worst things i have ever had to experience. On friday night about 7 i went out to check the dogs and ferrets before i went to play football and a local know it all who is an all round tit and goes through phases of having lurchers,greyhounds,pigeons the current fad is labradors is standing across the path fae my house with his carryout and shouts across "You got any ferrets for sale" my reply was no and i continued about my business.Well i come back at 9pm make sure everything is locked up and go to my bed. Next morning at 6:30 i go out to feed my ferrets that have kits and there one of my hutches has been busted open and one of the good bitches has been taken,now this is bad enoughbut the dirty b*stard left behind her 2 week old kits!!!!!They were cold and barely alive so i got them in the house put the heating on and got them wrapped up in hot towels and try to feed them but they didn't seem to want to eat,leaving themin the warm i went out to search for their mother hoping against hope that the f*ckers had dropped her or something. To no avail and as i returned to the house to try and get the kitts to eat who do i bump into the self same lousy theiving b*stard and i could tell by his face it was him and before i even spoke he started stammering about how it was not him??So needless to say he got put on his arse and told if the kitts died it would get a lot worse for him.Sadly last night despite my best efforts the kitts died It just goes to show the dirty b*stards we have in our sport Quote Link to post Share on other sites

lurcher lass 9 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Share Posted June 22, 2009 i am so sorry mate, the only thing i can suggest is to go to police with any photos or detailed discriptions of the ferrets and bitch, markings size etc, ask the police to check this neighbour out, if it were me i'd sit in the police station refuse to move til they at least look into it so sorry for the stress of the lurcher and dogs going missing then having to deal with these young kits, its shocking what some people will do, and good luck in getting them back all the best, hope you find them lurcher lass x x x Quote Link to post Share on other sites
